Independence Day 2014 at Saintil Public School

India’s 68th Independence Day was celebrated at Saintil Public School on 15 August 2014 with great fervor. The day started with a parade by the school.

The Hon. Principal Mr Anil Kumar Singh hoisted the National flag and the school marched past and saluted the flag. In his address to the audience Mr Singh remembered the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and said that in this day of independence we remember how India has set an example to entire world by means of assertive freedom struggle. We may not be a wealthy power in the world yet we are recognized as good human beings in a great country . Everything in the world changes but not principles or human values. India is known to be a great country that follows these principles. Let us thank great leaders who fought for our freedom assertively and for setting us an good examples. Let us thank our country for recognizing eminent researchers especially Dr. Abdul Kalam who was even made president of India. Such level of recognition indicates how our country strives growth in all areas most importantly knowledge. Knowledge is always the key for success and growth.

A cultural program was organised by the school students executed by Mrs.Rudrani Jha & Mr. Anand Kumar as a musician too, celebrating the greatness of our Motherland ,a patriotic song 'Sare Jahan Se Achha'. The song was sung by Nidhi, Tanushree, Riya, Muskan, Anushka, Nimisha, Pooja, Ritika, Antra, Aayushi, Shlaka, Ekta, Nikita, Charu, Nitika, Megha and Neha.

Next the School Captain Miss Rachna made a brief speech on the occasion. She reminded the school of the tasks given to the nation by the first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru and said that many of the tasks were left undone. This was followed by songs and dances by the students of the school and guided by Miss Nidhi as dance composer. The boys and girls of the school took part with a lot of enthusiasm in the songs and dances celebrating the joy that was Ind The day ended with sweets distribution.
